Know what to order, and how much

MP Stock Planner calculates the quantity to order for every product and combination from your real sales, your PrestaShop stock, supplier orders already on the way and your suppliers’ lead times. You immediately see what is out of stock, what is likely to run out before the next delivery and what is sleeping on your shelves. You keep the final decision: nothing is ordered without you.

Since PrestaShop 1.7, advanced stock management (warehouses and supplier orders) is no longer part of the software. The module fills that gap with no ERP, no subscription and no data sent to an external service.

Calculations you can check

Every suggested quantity comes with its breakdown, one click away with the “Why?” button. Example from the demo shop:

• Estimated demand: 2.77 sales per day (weighted average of the last 30 and 90 days, returns and refunds deducted).
• Reorder point: 2.77 × (10 days lead time + 4 days safety stock) = 39.
• Target stock: 2.77 × (10 + 4 + 20 days of coverage) = 95.
• Available stock: 0, below the reorder point: time to order.
• Quantity to order: 95, rounded up to a case of 12, so 96.

Your buying priorities at a glance

• Dashboard: stockouts, critical items, items to reorder, overstock, dormant products and estimated purchasing budget.
• An “Order first” list so urgent items are handled first.
• Clear statuses: out of stock, critical (stockout likely before delivery), reorder now, watch, healthy, overstock, dormant, missing data.
• Filters by supplier, category, brand and status, or to spot products without a supplier or purchase price.

Rules adapted to each supplier

• Lead time, safety stock and target coverage (in days), set by default, per supplier, then per product or combination when needed.
• Minimum order quantity and pack multiple applied automatically.
• Purchase price taken from the supplier price or the PrestaShop cost price, with the option to override it.
• CSV import and export of rules, with a preview and checks before saving.

From recommendation to receipt

• Select references and adjust quantities: one purchase order is created per supplier.
• Purchase orders as PDF or CSV, ready to send to your supplier.
• Partial or full receipts: PrestaShop stock is updated and the outstanding quantity stays tracked.
• Quantities already on order are deducted so you never order twice.
• Status and receipt history for every order.

Frequently asked questions

Does the module place orders for me?
No. It suggests quantities and prepares purchase orders; you approve and send them yourself.

Which sales are taken into account?
Orders in the states you choose (paid, shipped and delivered by default), with returns and refunds deducted.

What about a new product?
Sales are divided by the number of days actually elapsed. With less than 7 days of history, the product is flagged “Insufficient history”.

Are packs and virtual products supported?
They are excluded by default. Sales made through a pack are not carried over to its components.

What about seasonality?
Calculations follow your recent sales (30 and 90 days) but do not anticipate a seasonal peak. Before a busy period, simply increase the target coverage for the supplier concerned.

Does my data leave the shop?
No. Everything is calculated inside PrestaShop, with no external service.
